Luke Ricketson where does one start? Son of former Eastern Suburbs player Doug Ricketson, Luke started his footy with Bondi United at the age of seven back in 1980 and attended Waverley College. Clocking up 301 games for the Sydney Roosters overtaking club legend Kevin ‘Horrie’ Hastings record of 217 matches. (Ricketson’s club record would be overtaken by Anthony Minichiello with 302 and then subsequently surpassed by Mitchell Aubusson with 306 games.) Ricketson played 3 matches for City, 10 for the Blues, 4 matches with Ireland and 6 caps for Australia, 2 Grand Final appearances for the Chooks, winning the premiership in 2002 against the Warriors and a loss to the Panthers in 2003, add a World Club Challenge victory against English Super League Champions St Helens. What a career!

Turning the page, and the business world beckoned purchasing a pub in Surry Hills with great friend Bryan Fletcher, he went on to join the Nine Entertainment Company in media sales, a regular panel member on Nine’s ratings blockbuster, The Footy Show and also featured on Seven’s Sydney Weekender program. Let’s add to the list, Sexiest Man in League and Dancing With The Stars and at a glance one would have to say, what a journey so far!

Luke shares his early property experiences we also look at business decisions past and present. First and foremost, Luke is father to Grace and Sophie and husband to Kate Waterhouse.
